Outstation : Guangzhou, China

 Assalamualaikum.

Takde apa nak di ceritakan sangat. Just saja nak update. In year 2023, me and the other colleagues went for outstation in Guangzhou. I dah pernah pergi Guangzhou in year 2018 for holiday. But this time around pergi atas urusan kerja, jadinya tak banyak tempat boleh share due to PNC.

Apa-apa pun, i bersyukur berpeluang dapat experience macam ni. Banyak benda boleh belajar sepanjang outstation cause we went with few other people with higher position in the company. Tapi tula. Tak boleh nak cerita panjang pasal semuanya p&C.

Masa ni, apa yang I really nak highlight in this post is how advanced the technology in China is! Honestly, before the trip, I tak ada lah study sangat macam nak pergi holiday ke apa. Since this was a business trip, I just followed whatever itinerary yang client dah arranged for us.

Satu benda yang buat I terkejut sikit masa nak beli coffee kat sana, dorang tak accept our credit card at all! Yang boleh guna cuma Alipay & WeChat Pay. At that time, international payment method macam TNG eWallet pun belum boleh pakai lagi kat China. Waktu tu i belum pandai guna Alipay apps lagi. Maybe sebab tak study before trip hahaha. So memang agak struggle juga sebab almost everything dorang tak terima kecuali apps dorang sendiri. China ni memang stand alone country betul. Everything must be local apps only. Last-last, i ended up bayar guna cash je.

But what really amazed me was how far ahead they are in technology. While in Malaysia kita baru nak start dengan QR Pay pada waktu itu, dekat China dah move forward to face recognition payment system! Gila weh! That day, one of the China delegate tunjuk cara beli air gedegang guna face recognition. I don’t even know how it works, but basically you just show your face kat mesin, and bam! You can buy drinks just like that!

Settle packing. Korang jenis packing last minit atau packing awal? I sejenis packing sehari sebelum fly. Tak la last minit sangat kan. Normal la orang kata hihihi

Selfie dulu macam biasa.

Not into coffee but bila dah free kita sapu je.

Kalini fly with China Southern Airlines.

Perks of a business trip, you get to chill in the Premium Lounge for free :)

Toilet dia cantik. Boleh shower jugak in the other room.

Boarding time.

4 hours in the plane.

Boleh request Muslim Meal but kena inform the airline earlier.

Safely landed. I'm back after 5 years.

Terus pergi makan kat sini.

Menu apa tah. Tak ingat.

Jammed teruk sebab waktu ni China ada public holiday kot tak silap.

Infront of the hotel hehehe.

Pastu naik cruise lagi. Apa eh nama dia, lupa dah. My second time naik cruise.

Nampak tak red line barrier tu? Again. Perks of being a sponsored business trip, you can enter the VIP area hahaha

Ohh dah ingat nama dia. Pear River Night Cruise and the colorful building ni nama Canton Tower.

Smart Service Area - Government Hospital in Guangzhou

We visited one of the hospitals in Guangzhou and I was honestly mind blown. They have this thing called the “Smart Service Area." Kat situ boleh buat macam-macam like you can print medical report, reschedule appointment, set new appointment, check blood test result and literally everything. Semua boleh buat sendiri! Macam self-service machine tapi level hospital. How cool is that? I wish Malaysia pun ada benda macam ni, benda benda yang menyenangkan kita dan juga pihak hospital. Win-win. Tak payah ambil nombor and tunggu giliran lama lama.

And last but not least, rasanya tu je la kot nak update huahahah. Nothing much to tell pun since a lot of things are P&C. Overall, this outstation trip was such a valuable experience for me. Dari sekecil-kecil perkara hingga meeting, site visits and seeing firsthand how advanced the systems in Guangzhou are, I learned so much. There are so many things you don’t get to see if you’re just in the office. Feeling so much grateful for the opportunity. Alhamdulillah. Moga Ellia Rohim lebih rajin bekerja dan berbakti kepada agama, bangsa dan negara. Tiber.

Till next post, bye!
