Let me think… was it really in 2022?

Kenapa rasa macam trip Jakarta & Bali ni baru je terjadi? Masa cepat sangat berlalu ke, or is it just me?

Lepas pandemik, this was one of the moments I truly looked forward to. Finally traveling again! Masa ni excited sangat sebab it was also my first trip with my husband after kahwin. Okay baik. Kat mana nak mula ya?

First of all, big shoutout and thank you to Nyna & Kojek sebab basically, kitaorang menumpang trip dorang. Hahahaha. Macam tiber nak join sekali kan?

Kenapa Jakarta dulu?

Sebab masa tu Kojek outstation kat sana. And of course la kitaorang yang clingy ni sibuk nak ikut sekali. Sorry korang hahaha.

JAKARTA (3 Days 2 night)

10th to 12th September 2022 - Saturday

We landed at Soekarno Hatta International Airport and terus book Grab to the hotel. Tapi belum boleh check-in, so instead of waiting, kitaorang terus jalan kaki explore area Blok M. Dekat Jakarta, untuk transportation kitaorang tak hire supir pun sebab area city ni senang je nak gerak ke mana mana. Kadang-kadang naik Bajai jugak, tapi harga dia slightly higher compared to Grab.

Cuma beza dia, kalau naik Bajai, boleh cilok sana sini, elak jem. Tapi kalau naik Grab car, you have to be ready dengan Jakarta’s traffic jam, especially time peak hour. Grab motorbike tak pernah try lagi kat sana, it might be cheaper as well. Dekat Blok M ni ada banyak tempat makan, hipster cafes, art studio Indonesia, etc. Quite a cool spot to lepak and explore.

Salah satu sebab utama trip ni jadi pun sebab I memang plan nak visit one of my Indonesian friends. We have known each other masa i joined study visit kat Universitas Gadjah Mada, Yogyakarta, a few years back. Walaupun dah lama, we still keep in touch sampai sekarang. You know what's nice about having friends from other countries? You actually learn a lot. Culture exchange is such a beautiful thing. And somehow bukan setakat bahasa je, tapi cara diorang berfikir, budaya, lifestyle semua lain. And you start seeing the world differently. Rasa macam… eh, selama ni aku hidup dalam bubble je kot. Honestly, it really opened my eyes..in a good way. I jadi lebih sedar, lebih faham, and more open to things I used to overlook. And slowly I rasa I improve sikit-sikit, maybe not in big ways, but in how I think, how I react, how I see people. It’s something I really appreciate ❤️

Okay back to the topic.

Anyway, I won’t be sharing full itinerary yang panjang lebar sebab earlier kat atas tu I dah mention pasal full itinerary. This entry more to surface je like hotel and transport je. Just the basics untuk korang yang plan nak pegi Jakarta nanti. It might be different already since now dah 2025.

So masa kat Jakarta, we stayed at Hotel Liberta Hub Blok M, area Jakarta Selatan. It’s one of those aesthetic and minimal vibes kind of hotel. Honestly, since trip ni back in 2022, I don’t really remember all the details tapi yang penting masa tu harga dia murah gila, around RM83 je per night! Okay lah kan? My travel formula is pretty simple. Selalunya kalau I nak explore some area from day to night, I prefer hotel yang basic but strategic. Tak perlu mahal, janji selesa. Sebab most of the time memang balik bilik just to sleep je. Tapi kalau trip tu jenis nak chill, relax, maybe lepak dalam bilik lama sikit, then I’ll book something a bit more comfortable with a nice view.

Jakarta wasn’t really the main highlight of our trip. So masa dekat Jakarta, kitorang memang tak plan sangat. Tapi ada la a few tempat yang I dah list awal-awal, salah satunya Grand Indonesia Mall. Sebab I nak try makan dekat satu local restaurant yang I tengok orang sana review dekat TikTok. Its Remboelan nama dia. First time tengok review tu, I terus tertarik. Menu dia nampak menarik. Bila sampai sana, memang tak mengecewakan langsung. Tempat cantik, clean, and ada vibe exclusive. And harga dia sangat sangat affordable.

Makanan pun memang kena dengan tekak I. Till now year 2025, I tengok Raembolan still hype dekat TikTok. And tak silap I, restoran ni ada banyak branch. So kalau korang ke Jakarta, boleh lah cuba makan kat mana-mana branch available ni. And the next day, husband Nyna sampai from Bandung. Finally my husband ada geng, takde la dia termenung sorang 😆

So pagi tu kitorang pun start our day with cafe hunting. First stop: Monsieur Spoon dekat Senayan City Mall. For those yang suka aesthetic places and love to take photos, this cafe is a must! Cantikkkk sangat. Interior dia macam French vibes, soft lighting, cozy sangat. And okay I kena highlight this. I peminat mushroom soup. Seriously, mushroom soup dia sedap gila. Rasa dia rich, creamy, and memang rasa dari real mushroom, bukan yang instant jenis serbuk tu. You know some places just serve the powder-based one kan? Yang rasa dia macam too processed. I memang tak minat jenis tu. But yang ni lain, dia blended well dengan ingredients, smooth and flavour dia on point. Sampai sekarang I ingat rasa dia 😩

Our brunch. Harga dia standard typical aesthetic cafe, maybe slightly on the higher side but still worth it for the taste and ambience.

Lepas tu terus gerak ke PIK area. Masa I pegi ni, tempat tu still baru and tengah develop. Pantai PIK pun belum bukak lagi untuk public, ada polis jaga dekat tepi pantai masa tu. So memang tak dapat nak masuk sangat la. Tapi now bila scroll TikTok or IG, I nampak PIK area dah macam wajib pergi kalau travel Jakarta. Macam-macam dah ada, cafes, beach area, shopping, everything in one place. Belah malam pulak kitaorang lepak cafe Filosofi Kopi. Okay, the reason why my husbang agreed untuk singgah Jakarta dulu was because he really wanted to visit Cafe Filosofi Kopi. Nak feel the vibe katanya. Hahaha pengaruh movie kuat betul.
